Helen Keller

Av Ginger Henderson

Helen Keller became blind and deaf as an infant and grew to be a spoiled, violent child. Annie Sullivan was hired as her teacher. With patience and persistence, Annie taught Helen to communicate using sign language. This miracle opened Helen's world, enabling her to speak and write, even to write a story of her life. She became an inspiration to others by overcoming seemingly impossible barriers.
